BPS Presidents’ Award 2026 – Now open for nominations
Nominate an outstanding mid - late career psychologist who has made a huge impact to psychological knowledge.
The BPS is inviting members to submit a nomination for our Presidents' Award for Distinguished Contributions to Psychological Knowledge 2026.
Each year the Presidents' Award honours a psychologist in their mid - late career stage (10-25 years post PhD, DPsyClin or equivalent), who is currently working on outstanding research. As well as recognising someone who has made exceptional contributions to psychological knowledge, the award aims to celebrate those who have championed early career psychologists.
Nominate someone today
You'll need to be a BPS member to nominate someone for the Presidents' Award, but the person you're nominating doesn't have to be a BPS member. The nominees for the award should meet the following criteria:
Made an outstanding contribution in particular sub-field(s) of psychology rather than a culmination of a career in psychology
Working on outstanding research, evidenced through significant books, journal articles etc
Helped others in the research process, such as through the supervision of others, co-authoring papers and collaborating with early career researchers.
Further information about the award and how to nominate someone, can be found on the Presidents' Award webpage.
